• Purchase hostas at our Minnesota retail site. We accept cash, checks and Visa or MasterCard.

Shipping Information

• Shipping Date: We begin shipping as early each season as possible, which depends upon the weather. This can vary from year to year based on the maturity of the plants you order. For Starter Hosta (TC), which can be climate-controlled in our greenhouses, some years we can ship as early as March. We are not able to give shipping dates for divisions as all of our stock is freshly dug, so it depends on that year's weather. In general, we can start shipping divisions around the 3rd week of May. We ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure the hostas do not sit over the weekend during transit.
• Specify Your Ship Date: Hosta orders are shipped ASAP unless you request ship dates or we are waiting for inventory. To reserve your plants, we can delay shipping your order (i.e., you can order in December for an April ship date).
• Shipping and Handling Charges: View our shipping & handling rates. We ship USPS Priority Mail. Studies show that 94% of Priority Mail is received in two days.
• How we Ship: We leave Starter Hosta (TC) in the plastic cell trays in which they were grown. Plant labels are included in each plant. The plastic containers fit snugly in our cardboard boxes. We fill the remaining space in the box with packing peanuts. For divisions, we wrap the "bare root" hosta in newspapers, soak the bundle in water, and then surround it with a plastic bag, plant label, and a rubber band. (See How We Dig Divisions)
  
• Plant Size and Maturity: Many of our photos were taken in July. Plant size can vary not only by the variety's growth rate but also by what time of the year it is shipped.
• When Your Hosta Arrives: Hostas are very hardy. However, we recommend that you plant your order as soon as possible. Please see our planting information.

Sales Tax:

• Minnesota residents are charged 6.875% sales tax. Minneapolis and St. Paul residents are charged 7.25%. Non-Minnesota residents pay zero tax.

• Visa or MasterCard: Credit cards are processed through a secure electronic gateway. This site is protected by a secure SSL connection.

Refunds

• We guarantee our plants to be in good condition and properly named and labeled to the best of our ability. All claims regarding shortages, damaged plants, etc. must be made within 7 days of receipt of shipment. We are not responsible for over wintering losses, lack of water, over-fertilizing, or plants lost due to causes beyond our control. We are unable to assume any warranty as to productivity or life after transplanting. Liability is limited to the cost of the plants. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Return plants with the original labels and we will refund the cost of the plants or provide new plants. Prices and inventory are subject to change.
