We are more than happy to give photo credits for your pictures including pictures of private and public gardens, specimen hostas, hostas in containers, hostas in combinations, hosta bouquets, hosta blooms, hosta petioles - basically anything you want to send us that we approve.
You can see on our website at the bottom of each hosta presentation there are listed the types of hosta pictures we need circled in blue. Just click the blue box and please don't forget to attach your picture by clicking the paper clip icon at the top on your toolbar. We (and hosta lovers around the world) thank you!

2009 Season: Beautiful NEW hostas

NEW HOSTAS: Our suppliers have come out with some beautiful, new hostas, which will be announced in our next email newsletter. I estimate we will be offering at least 40 to 50 new varieties. If you are a hybridizer, you know how much hard work goes into your creations. Thanks!
DISCONTINUED HOSTAS: Some of our suppliers discontinued certain hostas to make room for new varieties. When these discontinued varieties in our inventory are gone, they will not be replaced as tissue culture. We'll advise you in our next e-mail what varieties we will not be able to replace as tissue culture.

Our smart, hardworking webmaster, Joe Husby, has found some software which will offer many additional capabilities. If things go well, Joe hopes to have it completed in mid-January. Any orders you place with our existing website will carry over to the new site.

| We have a large selection of Best Value Tissue Culture hostas that we are putting through dormancy. Most of these hostas have already been through one dormancy and sometimes two! (they are two to three years old) This means you will get more divisions on the Best Value Tissue Culture for the same price! |

New gardening tip from Tom |
| Tired of fighting grass in your garden? Ever pull on a piece of grass and have it break off, only to come back stronger and thicker than ever? At times what I do is I let the grass grow as tall as it can! Then, I bend the grass back with a tool so that the grass blades are thick and close together. After protecting any nearby plants with cardboard, I treat the clump of grass with Roundup spray. If you are careful and it is a calm day, this works GREAT! The entire root and everything above ground will die. I have done this for about 10 years now. You will save a lot of time and get a better end result! |
